50 jaar geleden begon een Zwitserse familie van horlogemakers een fabriek in de Verenigde Staten. Dit nieuwe bedrijf, VAL Products Inc. groeide snel door een constante focus op kwaliteit, service naar de klant en productontwikkeling.
Vandaag is VAL-CO wereldleider in de toelevering van alle soorten pluimvee drinksystemen, daarnaast produceert VAL-CO ventilatiesystemen, vernevelingsystemen, verduisteringspanelen en controle-eenheden voor deze producten.
VAL-CO Europe is de Europese dochter van VAL Products Inc. in Bird in Hand (PA, USA). Sinds 1993 verzorgt VAL-CO Europe alle verkopen en installaties voor het Amerikaanse hoofdkantoor in Europa en Azië. Ooit begonnen in een garage is VAL-CO Europe inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een verkoopkantoor met meer dan 20 enthousiaste en hands-on medewerkers.
VAL-CO Europe heeft zich inmiddels, na jaren van groei, ontwikkeld tot een dynamische en internationale onderneming met een duidelijke visie en met hoge toekomstige omzetverwachtingen.
Taken en verantwoordelijkheden
The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) maintains and improves existing procedures and introduces new procedures within Valco Europe. This in order to realize an optimal supply chain organization. The SCM is responsible for (reducing) warehouse inventory levels, the entire purchasing process, the entire logistic process and generating production efficiency. Also adequate forecasting, cost reduction initiatives and process descriptions maintenance are part of the SCM’s portfolio.
The SCM is responsible for the purchasing, logistics, and warehouse management within Valco Europe. The SCM will adequately support the further growth of the Valco Europe organization, enabling it to achieve the commitments made to its customers and improved transparency on e.g. pricing and planning.
The SCM reports directly to the Sr. Financial Manager and is required to actively participate in various regular and ADHOC meetings.
Detailed Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordinating all supply functions within Valco Europe

Responsible for developing and maintaining routines to ensure delivery of supply chain metrics in terms of cost and service

Responsible for planning and coordinating inbound and outbound logistic activities

Responsible for accurate inventory levels and reducing the risks and levels of obsolete inventories

Responsible for managing the performance of (international) carriers and logistics intermediaries

Responsible for managing and evaluating bids and purchases for parts and (logistic) services

Responsible for negotiating agreements with possible vendors

Responsible for setting up and maintaining an approved vendor document
